3 colors you should never wear to a funeral

Bright yellow  , fluorescent green, neon pink… These bright hues work wonders on a summer evening or at a birthday party, but   they clash with the sobriety expected   at a funeral.

These colors convey energy, vitality, and celebration—the exact opposite of the atmosphere of a ceremony. Even if you don't see any ill intentions, your loved ones might feel like you're not taking the ceremony seriously.

Therefore, it's best to choose sober, deep tones:   navy blue, dark gray, chocolate brown,  or even certain discreet pastels. The idea isn't to completely disappear, but to show that you share the seriousness of the moment.

Shiny and metallic fabrics: an unsuitable evening effect

Do you love sparkles, sequins, or satin? Save them for a wedding or New Year's Eve party. At a funeral,   the shimmering reflections of these garments immediately draw attention   and may seem inappropriate.

A gold blouse, a silver dress, or even a sequined bag create a festive atmosphere, even if the occasion calls for modesty and simplicity. Accessories should follow the same logic: opt for subtle, understated jewelry instead of flashy or sparkly pieces.
