Weather: After the cold and snow, a RADICAL change will hit France starting Friday, November 28th and

This Thursday will therefore serve as a  transition  between two diametrically opposed weather patterns. Temperatures will remain cool, still influenced by the cold air coming from the north. But behind the scenes, a major phenomenon is already taking shape. This is precisely what will change the situation starting Friday.

Starting Friday: a RADICAL change and a return to gentleness

The real upheaval will begin on Friday, November 28, when the airflow shifts to the southwest. This change in atmospheric circulation will be enough to bring much milder air masses up from the Atlantic. Temperatures, which have been wintry in some areas until then, will rise sharply. Highs  will once again exceed 10°C  almost everywhere and could even climb higher over the weekend. A return to milder weather… but not necessarily good news.

This southwesterly wind will also be accompanied by significantly wetter weather.  Persistent rain  across the northwest quarter of the country, occasionally brisk winds, and successive periods of unsettled weather: the atmosphere is shaping up to be very autumnal. On Saturday, a new weather system will move into the northwest, bringing rain and wind, while snow will return to the mountains. On Sunday, the weather might be a little less gloomy, but precipitation will still affect the Pyrenees and the southeast. Temperatures will rise above freezing in the morning, reaching nearly 10°C in the north and 12°C in the south in the afternoon. And that's not all: the start of next week could be even milder, reaching unseasonably high temperatures… but also even wetter.
